Future Foams Liquid Polyurethane Kit is a two part component polyurethane system for the manufacture of closed cell rigid foam materials. It can be processed by hand mixing or through polyurethane foam dispensing equipment.

Applications: Insulation, filling of cavities, buoyancy, etc. The kit contains a flame retardant additive which reduces flammability of the cured foam material.

Packaging: Our liquid pour kits are available in 2kg (fills approximately 56 litres), 8kg (fills approximately 200 litres) and 40kg (fills approximately 1000 litres).

Mix Ratio: 1:1 (Parts by weight)

Foam Density / Reaction Profile: (Determined under laboratory conditions, in a cup test at 22°C).

Free rise foam density – overall = 34 ± 3kg/m³poly-kitsbig

Free rise foam density – core = 28 ± 3kg/m³

Cream time = 45 ± 3 seconds

Rise time = 300 ± 25 seconds.

Storage & Processing: Part A and Part B must be stored between 18 – 25°C, under proper warehouse conditions – away from direct sunlight and any form of water. Under these conditions the material has a shelf life of six months.

Physical Properties: Measurements were determined on samples without skin, compression and flexural loading perpendicular to foam rise. Samples were produced on a high pressure machine.

Density (moulded): 38 kg/m³             Comprehensive Strength at 10% Compression: 145kPa AS 2498.3

Closed Cells: 92% AS 2498.7 Water Absorption: 1.46 Vol.% AS 2498.8 Thermal Conductivity: 0.0225 W/m.K

Instructions: The processing temperature of the Part A and Part B should be between 18 to 25°C. The cavity / mould should be pre-heated to a temperature of approximately 35°C. Stir both the components thoroughly in the separate original containers, as supplied. Decant the required quantity into a clean plastic container as per the mix ratio 1:1.

Immediately commence mixing the two components together with a high speed drill and paint stirrer for 15 seconds and pour the reacting liquid into the cavity or mould. Pay particular attention to the mixing of the two components as it is absolutely necessary for good / consistent results.

Safety – Important: DO NOT COMMENCE OPENING / HANDLING FOAM RAW MATERIALS WITHOUT: GOOD VENTILATION, SAFETY GOOGLES, RUBBER GLOVES AND FULL SKIN PROTECTION
