Future Foams supplies a range of rigid foams used in various industries such as sign writing, building and construction. We supply polystyrene (EPS and XPS), PIR and rigid polyurethanes. These products can be converted to sheets, blocks or profiled shapes.

rigid-foamsEPS (expanded polystyrene) is a closed cell, resilient, lightweight rigid cellular plastics material produced in a range of densities between 13.5 kg/m3 and 32 kg/m3.

The grades we keep in stock are SL, M, H and VH grade.

The main applications for products manufactured from EPS are thermal insulation systems (wall, roof and sub-floor), ceiling panels and other decorative surfaces, concrete voids and block outs, pipe insulation, protective packaging, floatation and buoyancy applications, and stage sets.

TG 50mm XPS Board 1XPS (extruded polystyrene) is a rigid polystyrene where the beads have not been expanded and are kept in the original state and then an extrusion process is applied. This creates a rigid board with no bead structure that can then be sanded and moulded for specific requirements. XPS has higher thermal properties than EPS which makes it the preferred product for thermal insulation in commercial and residential building projects.

pirRigid polyurethane foam has closed cell structure and has better insulation properties then many other insulation materials. It is widely used in building cold rooms and for insulation of piping and tanks in industrial / mining applications. Heat generated from curing fibreglass does not affect polyurethane foam thus enabling fibreglass lamination. Polyurethane foam is also widely used for marine buoyancy. One cubic metre of 35kg/M³ polyurethane foam would have a positive buoyancy of 965kg. Rigid polyurethane foam is used extensively by sculptors and artisans to create shapes as it can be easily carved, sanded in to difficult shapes quickly

PIR INSULATION BOARDS – FIRE RATED
Future Foams PIR Board is a non structural PIR insulation board consisting of a rigid insulation core sandwiched between two high performance aluminium foil facings to create a tough, durable, light weight board that has high insulation properties with a high level of fire performance.

Future Foams PIR Board has a foam core that will not melt, flow or drip when exposed to fire, instead it will form a strong char that prevents flame spread and further degradation to the core.
